Bloomberg Hub launched at London City Airport

London City Airport has launched the world’s first Bloomberg Hub, providing a unique experience to passengers as they wait for their flight.
The Bloomberg Hub is aimed at business travellers, which make up 61% of the airport’s 3.4 million passengers, and provides news, data and information. It is comprised of five main elements: The Media Panel, The Media Ticker, The Lounge, The Media Wall, and Wi-Fi sponsorship, all of which carry up to date information from Bloomberg.

The Media Panel is located at the entry point to security.  It consists of six ultra-high-definition 55-inch digital screens carrying tailored messages according to the time of day.

The two Media Tickers have a combined length 130m-long. One is located pre-security and the other in the atrium beyond security. The display streams market news and financial information.
In The Lounge, passengers can choose from different zones to work, relax, network or prepare for their day. In the ‘work’ zone, passengers have free access to tablets, pcs and international charging stations.

The Media Wall is central to the Lounge. As well as permanent displays for departure information, the 7.2 x 3.1m digital display delivers market news, travel information, Bloomberg television and promotional content.

By sponsoring the Wi-Fi at City Airport, Bloomberg has the opportunity to connect with passengers directly on their mobile devices.

The Bloomberg Hub will remain at the airport for 3 years.
